The electrons then strike a phosphorous screen which converts the electrons into an image, generally of green colour which can be easily viewed in the dark.

The night vision binoculars are available in several different styles. Night vision binoculars that look like cameras can work like hand held devices. The ones which resemble goggles can be mounted over the helmet or worn over the head.
