My friend bought a Yukon Ranger night vision scope and it has RCA jacks,and she bought a video capture device that goes RCA to USB but when she plugs it in the computer detects it but says no driver.Is there something she needs to do so that she can use her laptop to record the video from the scope,by fixing this problem I told her to try it with scope on,told her to go to control panel and add hardware but she says it keeps saying no driver,whats that mean,and how can she fix it,or go around it?

What program are you using to capture the video with?

First boot up your capture software (Windows Media? Quicktime?). Then attach the goggles and adapters, etc. Then tell the software to capture video and see what it says.

yeah its a show but it is based on true events..

That's a television show lol. The purpose of that little hole in the lense cap isn't to allow less light in. Quite the contrary, you want to gather as much light as possible when using a scope. That small hole is to eliminate glare off the lense of the scope. This way, that's one less thing the enemy can detect.

Night Vision and a low budget don't go well together. Honestly, your link is the cheapest I've ever seen one go for. They're usually between $200 and $400.

And regarding what you were talking about putting an illuminator, I'm not sure I fully understand what you're asking. If you put an infrared illuminator on your and use a regular scope it will do absolutely nothing. The whole point of using infrared light is because we can't see it. IR night vision scopes have a camera that detect the infrared light. Really everything is lit up, but with light that we can't detect.

EoTech isn't a night vision scope, it's a night vision compatible holo sight. Meaning if you have night vision optics on your helmet and flip them down, you can still use the holo sight at night. An aimpoint red dot would be better suited for the CX4, slightly taller profile gives you less neck angle when sighting.

What info do you want? It looks like an IR camera with IR LEDS, plugged into a simple LCD screen viewer (like part of the camcorder). It appears to be powered by a 9 volt battery, taped on top.

NTSC tells you that it outputs an American TV signal.
